Official Soundtrack

While writing The Man from Mittelwerk, or rather, while stalled out during late stage editing, I created a soundtrack playlist on Spotify. It includes a wide range of tracks that set the mood for the book.

It includes jazz instrumentals that fit the retro noir vibe as well as quite a few songs by Canadian singer/songwriter Jerry Leger from his album Heartbreak & Nonsense. My brother Mike introduced me to Leger and saw him perform at a club in Toronto. Mike has seen him dozens of times.

Leger is also somewhat of an inspiration to a minor character in the book, also named Jerry, a local musician for whom Jack occasionally plays piano. Check out the playlist on Spotify. And also check out Jerry Leger’s music on his official website.
